Our Issues

Afforadable Housing

For many Floridians, homeownership, once the “American Dream” is no longer obtainable. The FAMP believes there is dignity and pride in homeownership: it is also a key driver for wealth in the United States. We will continue to fight for access to affordable housing for all Floridians!

Equal Access to Lending Programs

For too long mortgage brokers and independent mortgage professionals have been given less access to mortgage programs. Independent mortgage professionals are ethical, accountable and provide a huge service to Floridians. They help borrowers shop multiple deals and have access to hundreds of additional lending sources that traditional banks and lenders do not. The FAMP fights daily to keep all lending options and programs open to the Independent Lending Community of Florida!

Fair Compensation

Current compensation regulations inadvertently affect the independent mortgage lenders in Florida by adding non-origination fees into fee caps, double hitting origination fees, and more. The FAMP will continue to push for fair compensation for all mortgage originations in Florida.
